Are these live online classes?
No. The standard credit course is self-paced and does not include recurring scheduled classes. Each course includes live tutoring for focused academic help.
Who grades my work?
Your assigned Canaway course teacher evaluates your assessments, provides feedback and determines your final grade.
Is the tutor the same person as my course teacher?
Not necessarily. Tutoring is provided by a qualified member of the Canaway Academic Support Team according to the subject and support required.
Are tutoring sessions one-to-one?
Tutoring is normally provided individually. In some cases, Canaway may combine students into a focused small-group session when they are studying the same course level and need help with the same concept.
How much tutoring is included?
Each purchased credit course includes up to five 25-minute live tutoring sessions.
Can a tutor help complete my assignment?
A tutor can explain concepts, review comparable examples and help you understand instructions or teacher feedback. A tutor cannot complete, rewrite, mark or pre-approve graded work.
What is the difference between Canadian and international tuition?
The core self-paced course and tutoring entitlement are the same. International tuition reflects the additional onboarding and administration involved in serving international students.
Can I complete the full OSSD through Canaway?
Canaway offers individual Ontario credits and customized OSSD pathways. Students seeking multiple credits or a complete OSSD plan should speak with the International OSSD & University Pathway team.
